THE HONG KONGER
INSPIRED BY THE NEW YORKER MAGAZINE
The Hong Konger collection features over 100 artworks inspired by The New Yorker magazine and experiences from growing up in Hong Kong. The collection was created over the course of 2021 and 2022 as I tried to establish a new sense of agency and independence after becoming bedridden from autoimmune diseases.
The Hong Konger has shown across Hong Kong galleries and art fairs, and has been featured in the South China Morning Post, Tatler Asia, and Prestige Magazine. The full 100-artwork collection, plus never-before-seen Hong Kongers from the vault, are now available in Hotung's new book, The (Unlikely) Hong Konger, which you can pre-order now for November 2024.
HK$350 open series prints are available exclusively at The Lion Rock Press. Limited series prints start at HK$2,000 and are available in five separate collections to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets.
