42nd & Duddell • Choreopolis
Description
A schmaltzy ensemble from 42nd Street are transposed to Duddell Street, where they tap dance to the eponymous finale number along the stretch of the iconic gaslamp staircase between Duddell and Ice House Streets.
Collection
Choreopolis feature 10 artworks that meld Hong Kong landmarks with classic Broadway and West End choreography. The artworks’ names are portmanteaus, puns, or hybrids of the Hong Kong location, musical’s title, or song name. The full collection will be unveiled at the opening evening on 14 March 13. It will highlight locations such as Wan Chai, Cheung Chau, and Happy Valley and will feature musicals such as ‘Chicago’, ‘Newsies’, and ‘My Fair Lady’.
Exhibition
